A Clear, Organized Process

From your first message to the final walkthrough, every Builder Bee project follows a straightforward, well-communicated path - so you always know where things stand and what comes next.

How it works

Six Steps to a Well-Managed Project

We keep the process straightforward by design. Clear scope, honest estimates, steady communication, and a proper close-out are what make residential work feel manageable rather than stressful. Here is how we approach each engagement.

Reach Out

Start a conversation however is easiest for you - fill out the contact form, send us an email, or give us a call at 919-987-5068. You can also use the chat assistant on this site to share details about your project at any hour. There is no commitment required at this stage, and no question is too small. We want to understand what you have in mind before we take any next steps.

Discovery & Scope Review

Once we hear from you, we take time to understand the full picture—the property, the goals, the condition, and the priorities. We ask questions, listen carefully, and understand what the work involves. We confirm the work fits the kind of residential help we provide, and that the total cost stays under $40,000. If a project is larger or more complex than we can take on, we'll tell you plainly and may suggest involving a properly licensed general contractor or other compliant arrangement. We'd rather be honest early than create confusion later.

Estimate for Eligible Work

For projects that fit what we do, we prepare a clear written estimate that describes the work, materials, and cost. We don't pad estimates with vague line items or pressure you. If something falls outside what we can include, we'll say so plainly. Our goal is for you to understand exactly what you're agreeing to before work begins. Estimates are based on information available at review time; adjustments may be needed if site conditions differ.

Schedule & Prepare

Once an estimate is accepted, we work with you to set a start date and a realistic timeline for the work. We confirm material lead times, coordinate any necessary site preparation, and make sure you know what to expect in the days leading up to the project. We aim to arrive when we say we will and keep the schedule moving with as little disruption to your household or property as possible. Good preparation before work begins is one of the most reliable ways to keep a project running smoothly.

Build & Communicate

During the project we focus on clean, quality execution - and on keeping you informed. We maintain tidy job sites, respect your property, and share updates as the work progresses. If something unexpected comes up during construction, we bring it to you right away rather than working around it. You should never feel like you have to chase us down for a status update. Regular, proactive communication is part of the work, not an afterthought.

Walkthrough & Wrap-Up

When the work is complete, we walk through the finished space together. We want you to look at everything and ask questions. Any remaining fix-it items are addressed before we consider the project closed. We clean up, remove debris, and leave the property in good order. Our aim is for you to feel confident and satisfied—not to hand you a list and disappear. A good wrap-up is the standard, not the exception.

Scope & eligibility

A Note on Project Scope

Builder Bee Projects LLC provides insured residential improvement, repair, renovation, and renovation help for projects under $40,000. Every project we receive is reviewed to confirm it fits the kind of work we do and the $40,000 threshold.

If a project exceeds the $40,000 threshold - or requires the oversight, licensing, or bonding of a general contractor for other reasons - we will be transparent about that during the scope review and may refer you to a properly licensed general contractor or another compliant project structure. Our goal is always to point you in the right direction, even when that means we are not the right fit for a particular job.
